Building Paths to the Future with the Solar Decathlon
Quality Event Flooring Systems provides pathways and flooring for the US Department of Energy’s collegiate solar-powered house building competition.
11 teams from universities all over the world gathered in Denver Colorado to build solar-powered, full-sized homes, competing in categories such as Architecture, Market Potential and Innovation. This early October event was held in variable weather conditions, including the first snow of the year, and Quality Event Flooring Systems provided over 60,000 sqft of Supa-Trac flooring for the job. Diamond Rental of Salt Lake City, Utah contracted the material to keep the site safe and clean. Used for their central pad, walkways and under tents, the product performed admirably, creating a surface that was safe and easy for everyone to work on.
QEFS’s product not only helped keep things safe, but maintained an excellent visual presentation for this high-profile event. Supa-Trac’s ease of installation and transport ensured a quick and economical solution, saving costs and difficulty in all aspects of installation and operations. The material proved itself during the inclement weather, preventing the site from becoming a muddy disaster.
