U.S. Customs Border Protection Centers
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) needed to build temporary processing centers to help with an influx of Central American migrants attempting to come into the United States. These centers built on Texas border locations will temporarily house migrants with all basic necessities. CBP contacted a national contractor specializing in disaster immediate response shelters. The contractor employed Quality Event Flooring Systems to provide on-grade tent flooring and finishes in support of the operation. The camps 32,000 and 43,000 sq. ft. respectively; were installed and operational within 72 hours from notification. This requirement from CBP was one reason the contractor selected Quality Event Flooring Systems. We excel in strict timeframes and remote locations. The flooring installs were finished with vinyl and turf to enhance the experience for the migrants. The installs exceeded CBP expectations on timeframe and quality and they were processing migrants at the 72 hour mark, which rarely happens.
